| trainer vs roller |
[03 Dec 2009|08:33pm] |
Last week I asked about buying a bike trainer and what your thoughts were. Thank you to those who responded. Tonight I learned about rollers. Read reviews on a bunch of sites and seems that most people said roller instead of trainer. Does anyone here have rollers? I have about $200 to spend. Is it possible to get some for that amount? Please let me know what brand/model you have or recommend.
Again, thank you in advance.

Ride a bike! |

We LA cyclists have got to be the most delusional of all! In this Car Kingdom, we insist on two wheels, making us renegades of transportation, rebels to society, and happier and healthier than those stuck cursing traffic.
So if you're a cyclist on the West Side, you may want to check out Bikerowave, where - for $7 an hour (Cash or checks only!) - you have access to the tools, the books, and the assistance required to wrench on your own bicycle. On Tuesday nights we do a GRRRLILLA Female Hosted night called Bikerobabes. It used to be women & trans only, but the board decided to discard it on account of slow business. So we're fighting back with aggressive outreach and a renewed sense of purpose. It's important to create this safe space, and I did not realize how important it was until it was gone. For more information on Bikerobabes, check out the Facebook group.

Hey, everyone. I got this can of compressed "bicycle air" from Daiso, but when I try fitting it on the bike tires it just sprays air everywhere. Any idea how you're supposed to use it?
The instructions are in Japanese, so I can't actually figure out what you're supposed to use for this.
